Sydney Moate
Sydney Moate is the debut author of Shifting Wings. She was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and now lives in Montana. She has a degree in journalism from the University of Montana. When not writing in a coffee shop, she is either enjoying the outdoors or chatting about romance novels at book club.
In college she was an arts and culture reporter and a news reporter with the University of Montana’s independent student newspaper, the Montana Kaimin. She was also a staff reporter and Copy Chief of the 2025 issue of Byline Magazine, published in Montana Journalism Abroad in which she reported on rural suicide and mental health in Scotland in 2025, and Fiction Editor of the 2026 issue of The Oval Literary Magazine.
